May 26 & 27, 2000 Friday morning my dad woke me up at 4:55, but I didn't get out of bed until 5:30. Then we left the house at 5:45, and got to the airport at 6:15. We got on the plane at 6:45, and flew first class to Chicago at 7:00. The plane ride was two hours and thirty minutes long. In Chicago it 8:30, but in Tampa it 9:30. Because we went from eastern to central daylight time. While we were in Chicago waiting for out flight to Tokyo we got to wait in the president club I did some Algebra 1 work for a couple of hours. We left Chicago at noon. The plane trip was 13 hours, to Narita. Then when we got to Narita, we took a bus to downtown Tokyo. The bus ride to Tokyo was an hour and fifteen minutes. We are staying at the Grand Palace. It was a three star hotel. They give us shower caps, tooth brush with toothpaste, a hairbrush, comb, a bathrobe for after the shower, slippers, and a bathrobe for the mornings. We checked in, and went to our room on the 12th floor. All three of us took a shower, and after that we went to look for something to eat for dinner. So we walked across the street to look around, and there was a Subway sandwich place, and that was where I ate, and then my parents found a place to eat a couple buildings down. Then after we ate we came back to the hotel and went to sleep. It was about eight at night.
